Sumits choice refers to Sumit Sharma, the CEO of Microvision, a LiDAR company currently competing for an untapped market for ADAS driving safety as we move into the future of cars. Sumit has made a choice to go all in on a product called MAVIN which will either make or break the company and potentially the entire self driving industry.

Unfortunately, in order to get away from rolling shutter you’ll have to look at something like the a7siii. Very very low rolling shutter because of the smaller sensor resolution. But that camera costs quite a bit more. Basically all APSC cameras like the zve10 will suffer a bit from it

Yes, but I wouldnt necessarily recommend it. A lot of marks were missed, and I imahgine this is quite a bit more of a dangerous investment. I still believe in the tech though, nothing has fundamentally changed about the whole situation other than a lot of time is going by, and they have 300 employees to keep paying so its a race against time to get the first deals done.

It depends on a whole lot of factors like heat, and exactly what you’re doing during that time.. But I typically have a USBC battery strapped to each tripod when I’m shooting so I don’t have to think about battery life, that camera will charge through usbc while running

It will be a long time before delist. they are waiting for the moments to strike when it will really matter to keep the stock alive. I also have conspiracy that they have shorted themselves, so they can pump stock by covering to keep it from falling further and add another 180 days to the clock. The company is a masterclass in thriving without profit and nearly no revenue. it's actually quite fascinating!

$1.65 is a FINE average.. I guess this all depends on what you consider 'near future.' We know Microvision is currently, at this very moment, right now as I type this, in meetings and negotiations on multiple different potential deals. Unfortunately, the timing will always remain a secret until those deals are finalized. It could be this afternoon, and it could be next year :/. But one thing I am completely sure of is IF THE COMPANY DOESNT GO BANKRUPT, it will one day be worth a lot more than $1.65. I wish I could tell you how soon, but I would encourage you to hold.

I'm sorry but this company has a ridiculously long history of failure. The meme craze drove the stock up despite it having 0 customers and 0 value proposition, from something like 15c to $28. This company has never made money from customers, only from shareholders with constant dilution. This company will fail - it is astonishing that it has lasted as long as it has, without ever delivering meaningful value or a return on shareholder investment (and yes, I know MVIS once had 1 customer, Microsoft. But 300k a quarter is not serious income - one person can earn that as a consultant.)

just wait until the reverse split comes along. your 1.65 average is going to look like a 10.65 average and you will be completely done for.

@@partypooper8198 "completely done for," I would refer you to my house building series to see just how 'done for' I am if this speculation ends up not panning out. For now, you only lose money if you sell when the stock is down; nothing has fundamentally changed in the sector just yet. Deals are still being negotiated; thats not something I need to hope for, I DO speak with the company.

@@SPACEDESIGNWAREHOUSE there's no deals being negotiated. any car company can slap any ol cheap sensor and call it a day. what are they waiting for? cars are already doing all kind of "self driving" without MVIS at the helm. this is all very niche technology. you've been duped into thinking it's going to change the world when it's already been around for decades. toyota doesn't need them, mercedes doesn't need them, tesla doesn't need them, GM doesnt need them... and there's dozens of other lidar options to choose from and they all already have their own, functioning systems. wake up already! there has been red flags since day ONE

@@phillicus Yeah this is on my 'short trash' watchlist. Any time one of those useless companies pops on no news, short. Did it yesterday on Toughbuilt, for some reason it popped like 60%. Didn't even have to wait 3 hours before making 27% return as it plummeted just as fast.

Well, you’re wrong. It’s not criminal to miss sales targets. And we both know they would be in an infinitely better place if they had made their target which points to it being out of their control. Don’t get me wrong, it’s REALLY bad news for the stock and it makes this investment very dangerous moving forward.

95 cents is NOT a good price. Its just a cheap price. If the company doesnt die, and if LiDAR gets adopted, 95 cents will have been a great entry. I am not implying those IFs will go the way I want.

I brought up the extremely high levels of dilution in the last video and the response was basically "yes, and lidar is gonna be huge". I think funding requirements is an area retail investors tend to ignore or don't understand all that well. The fact that this company has been able to dilute their equity base at a 15% CAGR over the last 7 years speaks to the level of blind enthusiasm exhibited by their largely retail investor base. In any case, I really respect the fact that he's continuing to do these video in spite of the share price being way down. That takes a level of humility not typically exhibited by finance youtube. Keep learning and keep at it!

If they DONT get above a dollar in 30 days, there is a 180 day grace period to GET over a dollar. At the end of that 180 days, they can apply for a second 180 days if they’re still under a dollar as long as they meet other criteria, which they do. So they actually have 360 days after these 30 days, to get over a dollar. Signing their first deal will definitely accomplish that.

Whats so special about Microvision: There is PROBABLY an ADAS 'revolution' on the horizon for cars. In all liklihood, LIDAR sensors will be a big part of that. There are only a few key LIDAR players and Microvision is a very solid contender among those few players. Theyre not Tesla or anything, but this technology WILL be part of the future. Its a horse race. Nothing special about them other than theyre the horse Ive put my money on. And I agree, they should be taken at face value when they make a prediction about their own timeline, and Im sure they thought that was accurate. They missed. And he doesnt speculate on stock prices in those calls, and Im guessing he specifically was advised not to sound promising after facing SO MUCH backlash for the two previous optimistic outlooks not panning out. But like I said in the video - the only FACT based part of this presentation was how delisting works; everything else was biased speculation.

Well I will say he DOES know exactly when Im out of something that I routinely buy because I mean, I installed an autonomous real time camera system for the company I buy the most stuff from. Its true. But I'm not super bothered by someone else making money off of my information. I dont know how to make money off of my own information and in reality, its all AI watching us all the way down, its not like Tim over at surveillance is sitting at his desk with a bag of pretzels watching me do workouts in my home gym.

I'm just sure the people with Ring doorbells didn't know people would hack into them and spy on the homeowners. I'm just cautious with all this AI and super convenience tech. Everything has a cost. And oftentimes, nowadays, the cost is your privacy, and the sale of your information. I think if I had one of those, I may just clip it's wings, and disable internet for it.

I didnt sell - but I havent managed to average down to around $4 a share and I am still all the way convinced this will play out in the future. Just seems like I missed it REALLY bad on the timing.

At the beginning I was also very euphoric and very sure that Microvision would be successful. But since they focused only on LiDar and abandoned all other verticals, I am a bit skeptical. Now I just hope that we will survive the market.

I agree were overdue for an update. Only bad things have happened, but that doesnt mean I shouldnt talk about it. AND - you SHOULD still feel pretty good abotu your investment, nothing has changed except for the time line as far as I can tell.
